Gorey paces MSU at Vanderbilt

Jon Gorey led all Murray State runners at the Commodore Invitational cross country meet in Nashville, Tenn., this morning, finishing the 8-kilometer (5-mile) course in 30 minutes, 5.9 seconds.

Gorey placed 80th in the 102-runner meet, which was hosted by Vanderbilt.

DeWayne Esson finished the course with a time of 41:42.96.

The runners did not run as a team and were not assigned team points in the meet.

Wesley Korir of Louisville won the men's meet with a time of 24:50.77.
