Colotti, Esson place at SIU

Anthony Coletti placed 12th and DeWayne Esson placed 13th at the Saluki Fast Start Cross Country Meet in Carbondale, Ill., on Friday.

Coletti ran the 6-kilometer (3.7-mile) course in 26 minutes, 3.1 seconds, while Esson completed the course in 31:57.89. Joe Byrne of host Southern Illinois won the race with a time of 19:42.27.

The meet was an individual run, and no team scores were kept.

Murray State will next compete at the Vanderbilt Commodore Invitational on Sept. 18 in Nashville, Tenn.
