Racers perfect in OVC play with 7-0 win over SEMO

The Murray State women's tennis team remained perfect in Ohio Valley Conference play in every position after completing a 7-0 shutout over visiting Southeast Missouri State this afternoon.
The Racers (8-4, 4-0 OVC) won all six of their singles matches in straight sets in their first home match of the season, and took all three doubles matches.
In singles play, Anna Lask (19-9, 4-0 OVC) won at No. 1 singles over Bryce Kristal 6-2, 6-1, while Jaclyn Leeper (15-9, 4-0 OVC) won at No. 2 singles over Drew Kristal 7-5, 6-0, and Jennifer Ward (16-13, 4-0 OVC) won at No. 3 singles over Daniela Garcia 6-4, 7-5. Rachael Lask (20-8, 3-0 OVC) won at No. 4 singles over Ashley Hooper 6-0, 6-1, while Christina Hall (12-12, 4-0 OVC) won at No. 5 singles over Kimmy Anderson 6-0, 6-1, and Tami McQueen (11-12, 2-0 OVC) won at No. 6 singles over Kim Roberts 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles play, the Lask sisters (21-7, 4-0 OVC) won at No. 1 doubles over the Kristal sisters 8-4 in the eight-game pro set, while Ward and Casady Pruitt (12-11, 4-0 OVC) won at No. 2 doubles over Garcia and Hooper 8-4, and Leeper and Whitney Robards (9-3, 4-0 OVC) won at No. 3 doubles over Anderson and Roberts 8-0. MSU won the doubles point 3-0.
Murray State will host Morehead State on Friday at 2 p.m., then will host Eastern Kentucky on Saturday at 10 a.m., when the team will celebrate its Senior Day festivities.
