“We will be graduating our No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 players in May,” Keasling said. “As a result, during the early signing period it was very important that I try to sign players who can come in and play immediately.”
Webb compiled an 18-5 singles record as a freshman in 2004 and a 17-5 mark as a sophomore in 2005. During her junior campaign, Webb only lost five sets all season long. In 2005 she attained a No. 49 ranking in the USTA Southern Section.
“The team and I are extremely excited to be able to sign Alexis,” said Keasling. “Gery Groslimond, who is Alexis' teaching pro in Atlanta, trains and teaches his players a style that makes his players very successful at the collegiate level.”
