The Murray State women's volleyball team moved up one spot to No. 12 in the Midwest Region Ranking issued by the American Volleyball Coaches Association and RichKern.com.
The eight regional rankings are based on the Percentage Index computed by RichKern.com, which mirrors the NCAA's Rating Percentage Index (RPI). The teams are then ranked by region, with each region consisting of four conferences. The Midwest Region consists of the Ohio Valley Conference, Conference USA, the Horizon League and the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
Other ranked OVC teams include Jacksonville State, which moved up to No. 2 in the region; Tennessee State, which is ninth; Morehead State, which is 11th; Eastern Kentucky, which is 14th; and Tennessee Tech, which is 15th.
Murray State plays its final home match of the season and its final regular-season match on Saturday at 2 p.m. against OVC rival Austin Peay. Prior to the match, the Racers will honor their parents and senior players. The match will be played in Racer Arena, and admission is free.
