Sophomore libero Heather Norris was named to the All-American Honorable Mention Team, according to a release issued by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Norris is the second Racer to earn the distinction in four years, as Paige Sun was Murray State's first-ever All-American in 2003.
Norris is ranked sixth in the nation with 6.49 digs per game. She notched 30 or more digs in eight matches this season, closing out the year with a career-high 40 digs against Southeast Missouri State in the first round of the O'Reilly Ohio Valley Conference Championship Tournament.
Norris was named OVC Defensive Player of the Year, and was named OVC Defensive Player of the Week five times, with four of those coming on unanimous ballots. She was named to the all-tournament team at the UNF Labor Day Classic, and bolstered the Racers to lead the nation with 23.48 digs per game, 1.6 digs per game more than No. 2 Texas-Arlington.
"We are all very proud of Heather and her achievements," said MSU head coach David Schwepker. "She has worked very hard and is well deserving of these accolades."
Murray State finished the season 19-8, placing third in the OVC with an 11-9 record.
