Murray State Women's Tennis Falls To Georgia State

Senior Tami McQueen picked up the only win for the Murray State University women's tennis team today as the Racers fell 5-1 to Georgia State University at the Piedmont Tennis Center in Atlanta, Ga. The doubles matches were not played due to inclement weather in the area. MSU falls to 4-6 on the season while the Lady Panthers improve to 7-6 overall.
McQueen defeated Kiera Strickland in straight sets, 6-2 and 6-2, at number six singles to earn the only point of the day for Murray State.
Anna Lask was beaten for the first time this season. The junior fell to Anne Breiholtz at number one singles, 6-4, 4-6 and 10-6. Rachael Lask lost in three sets at number three singles to Mateja Podgorsek, 6-3, 0-6 and 6-1.
The Racers will return to action on Monday when they play at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
