MSU Women's Tennis Falls To Miami (Ohio) 5-2

Anna and Rachael Lask teamed to win one doubles match and both won their singles matches but it wasn't enough for the Murray State University women's tennis team to hold of Miami (Ohio) University today in Hamilton, Ohio. The RedHawks improved to 5-5 on the season after beating the Racers (2-3) by a score of 7-2.

Anna and Rachael Lask beat Katrina Lomidze and Linda Jirouskova, 8-7 (7-5), at number one doubles, but Miami (Ohio) came back to win both the number two and number three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.

In singles play, Anna Lask took care of Lomidze at number one singles in three sets, 6-2, 3-6 and 10-8. Rachael Lask downed Leda Pesatova in three sets at number two singles, 3-6, 6-3 and 15-13.

Miami (Ohio) posted wins at number three, four, five and six singles to claim the match victory. Anne Pennington fell for the first time this spring, losing a three set match to Kelly Douple, 2-6, 6-4 and 6-2.

The Racers also faced the University of Dayton on Saturday but results of that match were not available. MSU will play Wright State University on Sunday at 10 a.m., in Hamilton, Ohio.
