Murray State Men's Tennis Falls To #29 Kentucky, 5-2

Murray State University picked up a win at number five singles by junior Jeff Lester, but 29th ranked University of Kentucky defeated the Racers 5-2 today at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center in Lexington, Ky. MSU falls to 1-4 overall while the Wildcats improve to 9-3.
UK opened by winning all three doubles matches. Greg Johnstone and Marcus Sundh lost just one game on their way to an 8-1 win at number one doubles over MSU's Fadi Zamjaoui and Dmytro Hryhorash.
In singles play, Murray State won the number six singles match by default but Kentucky won the first four singles matches to secure the victory. Lester earned a win over Shane Collins by a score of 8-6.
The Racers will open Ohio Valley Conference play tomorrow when they face Eastern Kentucky University. The match is scheduled to be played outdoors in Lexington, Ky., but could be moved indoors in Richmond, Ky., if the weather is poor. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
