Men's Cross Country Runs in Evansville Invitational

The Murray State men's cross country team competed in the University of Evansville Invitational today, finishing 9th out of 13 teams with an average time of 28:14.48.
The Racers total time was 2:21:12.37.
Sophomore Steve Hart led the Racers with a 42nd place finish out of 132 runners, running the 8k in 26:58.40. Andrew Beckman was the second-fastest Racer, finishing with a time of 28:14.99, good for 66th place. Andrew Smithson finished with a time of 28:22.40 (71st place), while Jack Findley (28:32.58; 77th place), Ryan Millard (29:04.00; 95th), and Theron Chalepah (29:45.22; 109th) also competed for the Racers.
The men will take this next weekend off, before heading into the Ohio Valley Conference Championships on Oct. 27. The event is hosted by Samford and will take place at Spain Park High School in Hoover, Ala.
