The Murray State men's cross country team took part in the 2007 OVC Cross Country Championships today, which was hosted by Samford University and held at Veteran's Park in Hoover, Ala.

The Racers finished in 9^th place, posting times of 2:24:41.83 (total) and 28:56.37 (average). Eastern Kentucky won the crown, with a total time of 2:07:25.80 and an average time of 25:29.16.

Steven Hart led the charge for the Racers, running the 8k course in 27:59.63, finishing in 52^nd place. Andrew Smithson was next in line for the Racers, finishing in 57^th place with a time of 28:27.16. Andrew Beckman finished in 64^th place with a time of 29:08.04, while Jack Findley ran the course in 29:27.10, good for 66^th place. Freshman Ryan Millard (29:39.90; 69^th place) and sophomore Theron Chalepah (31:51.03; 80^th) also competed for the Racers.
