
Murray State-WKU Meet For 145th Time

The Racers started with a three pointer from Danero Thomas and a 3-2 lead, but fell behind by nine when WKU converted a MSU turnover into a basket by Tyrone Brazelton to make it a 14-5 game with 15:17 left in the half.
Ray George provided a spark off the MSU bench and scored back to back baskets to cut the WKU lead to 26-23 at the 6:56 mark.
Tyler Holloway had not taken a shot until he hit back to back three pointers. His first at the 3:14 mark and another with 1:52 left to cut the WKU lead to 36-33.
The Hilltoppers finished the half on a 7-0 run to push the lead to 43-33 at the half.
In the second half, the Racers cut the WKU lead to eight when Holloway drove through the Hilltoppers' full court press and scored a lay up. The lead was 48-40 in favor of
Western responded with a 9-0 run to push ahead 57-40 at the 14:20 mark.
The Racers didn't score another field goal until the 8:23 mark when Holloway scored again. The Racers were down 68-47.
Danero Thomas led the Racers with 17 points on 6-15 shooting, while Tyler Holloway was 5-5 from the field and finished with 15.

Tyler Holloway was 3-3 from three point range in the game and now has 99 in his MSU career. He is six away from tying Aubrey Reese for 11th place on the MSU all-time three point list.
