“I was very proud of our guys to come back and win,” MSU Head Coach Billy Kennedy said. “I challenged the guys and they responded on the defensive end, and we did that, forcing 20 turnovers.”
Kennedy has also been pleased with the progress from Ray George who joined the team at mid-season and is finding his place in the Racers master plan.
“I was glad to see Ray have a good game,” Kennedy said. “He's a very talented player and he's just getting more comfortable. He's a very good passer and he's just real active.”
George said he's glad to find his place with the Racers.
“We are all coming together,” George said. “I came in late, and everyone else had already been here since the summer, working out and working on plays, so I had to get used to the team ? defensively, offensively, passing, and the intangibles.”
George's 15 points came on 4-10 shooting including 3-5 from three-point range. He added five assists.
The Racers forced the Eagles into 20 turnovers and totaled 19 assists.
