On the court Pruitt has won 55 singles matches and 74 doubles matches during her four-year career. She currently ranks 15th on MSU's career doubles wins list. She made an immediate impact when she joined the team in 2003, winning 14 singles matches and earning All-Ohio Valley Conference honors.
Pruitt was selected to the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Pruitt received three nominations for the Margaret Simmons Female Athlete of the Year award. The application for the award asks how does the nominee demonstrate characteristics of Margaret Simmons, how has the nominee influenced and inspired others and if MSU chose a female athlete to represent the university, why should this individual be chosen?

In 2002 Simmons became just the fifth woman to be inducted into the United States Track Coaches Association Hall of Fame. During her tenure as coach, she led the Lady Racers to eight OVC titles and was named OVC Coach of the Year six times. In 1994, Simmons was inducted into the MSU Athletics Hall of Fame.
A committee of six people from across the campus selected the winner.Other MSU student-athletes nominated for the award included Christi Baron (golf), Holly Jansen (volleyball), Katie Kemezys (volleyball), Anna Lask (tennis), Laura Oppegard (soccer) and Joi Scott (basketball).
