Anna Lask Named OVC Player of the Year, Two Others Earn All-Conference

Anna Lask, a senior from
Lask finished the regular-season with a 9-0 OVC record and a 16-2 overall mark at the No. 1 singles position. She went 9-1 in the conference and 15-3 overall at the No. 1 doubles spot.
Lask earned OVC Female Tennis Athlete of the Week honors on March 14, April 4 and April 11.
Her spot on the all-conference team completes four straight seasons of All-OVC recognition. Lask earned first team honors in 2006.
Rachael Lask compiled a 6-3 record in 2007 against league opponents. The senior is now a three-time All-OVC selection. She earned first team honors in 2006.
Lask was 14-3 overall and 8-1 against OVC teams at No. 1 doubles.
The senior is just one doubles victory away from taking sole possession of second place on MSU's all-time doubles victories list. She is 100-33 for her career. Lask needs two more victories to move into second place behind her sister on the combined singles and doubles victories list. Lask is 10th on MSU's all-time singles wins list with 84.
Pruitt has a 7-2 singles mark against the OVC. The senior went 11-6 overall during the spring season. The
Like her senior teammates, Pruitt has climbed MSU's wins lists as well during the 2007 season. She is currently tied for 10th in school history with 81 doubles victories. She is 24th on the singles wins list with 62. Her combined total of 143 career victories is tied for 19th.
The all-conference selection is the second for Pruitt. She was also named to the all-conference team in 2004.
The second seeded Racers received a first round bye in the 2007 O'Reilly Ohio Valley Conference Women's Tennis Tournament and will play the winner of the Eastern Illinois/Southeast Missouri match at
