Women's Tennis To Host NCAA Tournament Selection Show Event

Murray State's women's tennis team will host a NCAA Tournament selection show reception on Tuesday, May 1. The event will begin at 1:15 p.m., at The Stables inside the Curris Center on the MSU campus. Fans and media are invited to join head coach Connie Keasling and her team as they learn who their first round opponent will be in the 2007 NCAA Tournament.

The announcements of the pairings will be broadcasted on ESPN News at approximately 1:45 p.m. CT.

The 26^TH Annual Division I Women's Tennis Championships begin with first round action on May 11 and 12.

The Racers earned the Ohio Valley Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament by beating top seeded Samford University 4-1 to win the OVC Tournament.

Murray State is 16-5 on the season and has won 13 straight matches. The Racers went 9-1 in OVC play and finished second behind Samford during the regular season.

MSU senior Anna Lask was selected as the 2007 Ohio Valley Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Year. In addition to earning player of the year honors, Lask was selected to the all-conference first team.

Teammates Rachael Lask and Casady Pruitt received second team all-conference recognition.
