Former Racer All-American Retires From Arena Football

Former Murray State All-American wide receiver Reggie Swinton has retired from arena football, the Arkansas Twisters announced on Wednesday (May 30). The former Racer standout was assigned to the Twisters in early May but has been unable to take the field due to a bulging disc in his back.

When Swinton initially joined the Twisters in 2001 he played in 13 games; catching 85 passes for 1483 yards and 33 touchdowns. He set Twisters records that still stand today for points scored in a season with 222 along with receiving yards and touchdowns.
His single game record of 174 yards receiving stood until the 2007 season.
After the Dallas Cowboys signed Swinton following his historic 2001 season he became one of the NFL's best return specialists.
