The Murray State volleyball team opens its Ohio Valley Conference schedule as well as its home schedule this Friday at 7 p.m. against Samford in Racer Arena. Admission is free.
The Racers (3-6) are coming off of three challenging tournaments, tying for first at the Arkansas State/Bancorp South Classic with wins over host Arkansas State and Northwestern State. MSU also battled Southern Illinois to a 3-1 loss in its Saluki Invitational, beating Missouri-Kansas City in the first match of that tournament.
"We are just worried about improving our game," said MSU head coach David Schwepker. "We have been working hard on our offense and our defense, and I think we will be ready for the conference season."
Murray State will also host defending OVC champion Jacksonville State on Saturday at 2 p.m.
