
Two Second Half Goals Lift Murray State Over CBU

The Racers and Buccaneers played a scoreless first half. Impressive for freshman goal tender Tessa Williams who was making her first collegiate start in the match.
The Racers got the game's first goal in the 67th minute when another MSU freshman Katie Wilson made an outstanding individual play. Williams intercepted a CBU pass near midfield and cut her way around three defenders and scored unassisted for her first MSU goal.
Rebekah Clay scored her third goal of the season off a feed from Renata Figueira in the 74th minute to put the game away.
The
MSU dominated play against CBU with 20 shots, while they held the Bucs to nine.
Williams played all 90 minutes in goal and stopped all six shots she faced.
The Racers have played five games this season and all have been decided by a shut out.
MSU can grab at least a share of the UTM tournament championship with a win over
