Men's Cross Country Takes Part in Greater Louisville Classic

The Murray State men's cross country team competed in the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday, a 36-team event hosted by the University of Louisville.
Competing in the 8k, Andrew Smithson led all Racers with a time of 28:04.88, while Steve Hart finished with a time of 28:10.40. Junior Andrew Beckman ran a time of 28:59.60, and Jack Findley finished with a time of 29:22.60. Sophomore Theron Chalepah (30:30.51), and freshmen Ryan Mallard (31:32.64) and Addison Price (31:59.73) also competed for the Racers.
The Racers' total time was 2:25:07.99, with an average time of 29:01.60.
The Racers return to action on Oct. 13, when they compete in the Evansville Invitational, hosted by the University of Evansville.
