The Big Apple Cafe Helps Volleyball With Swinging to Eliminate Cancer Fundraiser

The owners
of The Big Apple Café, Kaycee Cooper and Boone Chambers have offered to allow
patrons to drop their checks in a rebate box for the day and give the MSU
volleyball team 10% of the checks total for the fundraiser for the National
Brain Tumor Society.
“It is a
cause that touched us and we wanted to get behind and support the volleyball
team's efforts,” said Cooper. “We always
try to support what
Team
members, head coach David Schwepker, and his wife Kendra will be on hand
between 4-8 p.m. to help The Big Apple staff with food serving and patron seating
as a thank you for their help to raise fund to find a cure for brain cancer.
Donations
for the fundraiser will also be accepted by members of the Racer volleyball
staff from 4-8 p.m. Those wishing to make donations can make a flat
donation or can chose to make a donation per attack attempt recorded by both
teams in both matches over the weekend. A typical match this season has
resulted in around 600 attack attempts, so if a person decided to donate a
penny per attempt the donation would come to $6.

be given to the National Brain Tumor Society on behalf of the
