Bochenek Named OVC Co-Female Athlete of the Week

After clinching the victory over Southeast Missouri in a third-set tiebreak, Murray State sophomore Lynsey Bochenek was named the Ohio Valley Conference Co-Female Athlete of the Week. Bochenek shares the honor with Martina Dessbesell of Jacksonville State.

The Orland Park, Ill. native helped the Racers to victory as she overcame a one-set deficit to defeat Julia Masotti 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) in conference opener for both teams. Earlier in the match, Bochenek teamed with freshman Katelyn Fulcher for an 8-0 victory at No. 3 doubles.

The Racers return to the court on March 15 when they travel to take on Tennessee Tech. First serve is set for 9 a.m. in Cookeville, Tenn.
