Men's Tennis Blanked by #50 Kentucky

The Murray State men's tennis team had an unusual match with #50 Kentucky on Thursday afternoon as the match started indoors due to rain, then moved outside for a short time before the rains came again and forced the match back inside. The Wildcats came away with the 7-0 victory, dropping the Racers to 1-7 on the season.
UK jumped out to the early lead as they swept all three doubles matches inside the Boone Tennis Complex. MSU's Hunter Gerlach and Chris Horton battled before falling 8-5 at No. 1 doubles. The other two matches were taken by idenitcal 8-3 scores.
After starting singles action outdoors, rains returned to the Lexington area and forced the match back indoors. UK started singles action with 48th ranked Agostinelli handing Gerlach a 6-1, 6-1 defeat at the top spot. At No. 3 singles, Nicholas Ksiezopolski gave Will Beck all he could handle in a 6-3, 6-4 defeat.
The Racers return to the court on Friday afternoon as they take on Morehead State in Ohio Valley Conference. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m. in Morehead.
