Three Murray State women's tennis players were honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association as Adriana Alvarez, Katelyn Fulcher and Anne Pennington were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. Alvarez and Pennington are honored for the third-straight season.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
"These girls are very dedicated to their studies," said head coach Connie Keasling. "What a tremendous pride it brings to our program to have players earn these type of academic recognitions."
