1/21/2009 6:00:00 AM | Cheerleading
The Murray State cheerleading squad will be hosting the second MSU Cheerleading Appreciation Day for local elementary and middle school students, Saturday, Jan. 31. The day will consist of a free two-hour long clinic taught by the Racer Cheerleaders. The clinic will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Carr Health South Gym. During this clinic, the squads and mascots will learn a cheer, chant, and dance. These will be performed at halftime of the MSU Women and Men's basketball games that evening.
Practice clothes will be needed for clinic. Following the clinic, the cheerleaders will dismiss. Each cheerleader will need to be back at RSEC arena at 4:15 p.m. prior to tip-off of the women's game. All clinic participants are asked to wear MSU Gear for the performances.
We encourage you to participate in this event and to also simply enjoy a Murray State University game day. Tickets will be provided for each cheerleader/mascot. Relatives and friends are also encouraged to attend the game. Extra tickets will be available for purchase at RSEC arena (270-809-5555).
