Senior Kasey Meyer of the Murray State Rifle Team earned Pepsi-MSU Athlete of the Week honors after a standout performance last weekend at the Ole Miss Invitational.

Meyer led the Racers with a 582 in the small-bore competition out of a possible 600 points.

He was also the best shooter for the Racers in the air rifle event with a 586.

His finish in air rifle was second in a field of 104 competitors, while he placed fourth in small-bore.

The Racers have a shoulder to shoulder match Saturday at Jacksonville State.
