Volleyball Claims No. 4 Spot in 2009 OVC Tournament

The Murray State volleyball team earned the No. 4 spot in the 2009 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament to be held at No. 1 Jacksonville State, Thursday, Nov. 19-Saturday, Nov. 21.
The Racers will face No. 5 Tennessee Tech, Thursday, Nov. 19 at 4:30 p.m. in the first of the quarterfinal matches. No. 3 Morehead State faces No. 6 Eastern Kentucky at 7 p.m. A win for Murray State in the quarterfinal would pit them against the No. 1 Gamecocks, Friday, Nov. 20 at 4:30 p.m. in the semi-finals. The championship match is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21.
This is the 20th appearance for the Racers in the OVC Tournament and the fourth-consecutive season that MSU has been in the field of six.
