The Murray State women's tennis team dominated Ball State on Saturday as the Racers handed the Cardinals a 7-0 defeat at the Butler Bubble in Indianapolis, Ind.
The Racers (2-1) seized control of the match early as they captured the doubles point. The top duo of Angela McGahee and Anne Pennington rolled to an 8-1 victory. Lynsey Bochenek and Alexis Webb teamed up at No. 3 for an 8-6 victory to clinch the point.
In singles action, Adriana Alvarez and Lyndsay Ottosen rolled to straight-set victories at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively. Angela McGahee needed a first-set tiebreak in her straight-set victory at No. 2.
Freshman Cassidy Cunitz overcame a second-set loss to defeat Sarah Hebble 6-2, 5-7, 6-0 at No. 1. The scenario was the same Pennington and Webb as they also overcame a loss in the second set for a three-set victory.
