Racers Roll Past SEMO 79-60 - Fourth Straight Win

The Racers ran their winning streak to four straight and improved to 10-5 in the Ohio Valley Conference and 15-10 overall, while the Redhawks fell to 3-24 and 0-16.
MSU has won six straight games at SEMO since last losing there in 2003.
Leading by six at the half, the Racers blew the game open in the second half when they started with a 13-5 run in the first seven minutes.
When Tyler Holloway hit a three-pointer and Tony Easley scored a three-point play, the Racers were in front 56-42 with 13:38 remaining. The Racers' lead went to 20 points with 6:03 left when Isacc Miles hit his fifth three-pointer of the game to make it a 70-50 lead.
Miles had a career-high five treys and his 24 points was his best in a Racer uniform, he also tossed in six assists.
MSU Head Coach Billy Kennedy saw his team take the game away in the second half and the play from Miles was very helpful.
“Every three Miles took was on balance,” Kennedy said. “He had good rhythm and he deserves some success, he has worked hard on his shot.”
“We had good play overall and everyone did something positive for us tonight,” Kennedy added. “Our leadership is getting better and we're getting production from a lot of people.”
Ivan Aska came off the MSU bench to provide 12 points, while Holloway and Easley each scored 11.
Jeffery McClain had eight rebounds as MSU beat SEMO on the boards 34-21, including a 13-6 edge on the offensive glass.
The Racers hit 10 three-point baskets in the game, a season high, on 10-of-26 shots, and MSU shot 54 percent from the field on 31-of-57 shots.
MSU also had a season-high 20 assists, matching the 20 they had in the first meeting with the Redhawks on Jan. 24.
Holloway hit three three-point baskets in the game to move into a tie for third place on the all-time MSU list with Justin Burdine who played for the Racers from 1998-02, each has 198. Holloway can now take aim at second place Don Mann who played at MSU from 1986-89 and has 204.
