Women's Tennis Defeats Kennesaw State

The Murray State women's tennis team improved its record to 7-4 with a 4-3 victory over Kennesaw State Tuesday afternoon at the Kennesaw Tennis Complex.
Angela McGahee sealed the victory as she gutted out a three-set victory in the final match of the day. After falling 6-3 in the first set, McGahee responding by taking the final two sets, 6-2, 6-3.
Alexis Webb aided the victory with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 4, while Cassidy Cunitz eased to a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 3.
MSU continued its success in doubles as it swept through all three matches. McGahee and Anne Pennington got things going with an 8-3 victory at the top spot. Adriana Alvarez and Lyndsay Ottosen (No. 2), and Lynsey Bochenek and Katelyn Fulcher (No. 3) each recorded 8-6 victories.
The Racers return to the court March 27 against Morehead State at the Purcell Tennis Courts.
