The Murray State men's tennis team pulled out a thrilling doubles point, but it was not enough as the Racers fell 4-3 to Tennessee Tech Friday afternoon at the Purcell Tennis Courts.
After falling at No. 3 doubles, the Racers evened things up as Luka Milicevic and Renaldo Domoney pulled out an 8-6 victory. That left things up to No. 1 doubles and the duo of Ben Clos and Jose Berardo did not disappoint the home fans as they battled their way to a 9-8 victory to secure the point.
The Racers did not fare as well in singles action as they were only able to pull out victories in two of the six matches. Milicevic got MSU started quickly as he eased to a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 2. Jorge Caetano pulled out the other victory as he prevailed 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 at No. 5.
The Racers return to the court March 7 at UT Martin.
