The Murray State women's tennis team eased its way to a 7-0 victory over Southeast Missouri Tuesday afternoon at the Purcell Tennis Courts. The victory improved the Racers to 9-7 overall and 3-3 in Ohio Valley Conference action.

The Racers wasted not time in claiming the doubles point as they lost only two games on their way to winning all three matches. Lyndsay Ottosen and Alexis Webb at No. 2, and Lynsey Bochenek and Cassidy Cunitz at No. 3, each won 8-0. The top duo of Angela McGahee and Katelyn Fulcher won their match 8-2.

In singles action, Webb (No. 3) and Bochenek (No. 5) each won their match 6-0, 6-0. Ottosen (No. 4) and Ashley Pierson (No. 6) each won their matches 6-0, 6-1.

Cunitz got off to a slow start at No. 2, but finished strong in her 7-5, 6-0 victory. McGahee had the toughest match of the day at No. 1 as he won 4-6, 6-3, 10-6.

The Racers return to the Purcell Tennis Courts tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 p.m. against Austin Peay.
