Women's Tennis Finishes Play at Middle Tennessee Buck Bouldin Fall Classic

The Murray State women's tennis team finished competition at the Buck Bouldin Fall Classic at Middle Tennessee yesterday after rain washed away matches Saturday afternoon.
Three Racers finished singles play winning two of three matches, including senior Angela McGahee, who defeated MTSU's Anna Djananova, 6-1, 7-6(4) and ULAR's Anne Weijenborg is straight sets, 6-3, 6-2. Alexis Webb battled back to win two of her matches after dropping the first set in each. Lyndsay Ottosen was the third Racer to win two of three singles matches, as she won both in straight sets.
In doubles play, Ashley Canty and Webb won two of their three matches, both by a score of 8-3. Cassidy Cunitz and Ottosen salvaged won match victory as they defeated UALR's Yana Kakovkina and Weijenborg, 8-4.
The Racers will take roughly a month off from competition before returning to the court Thursday, Oct. 22, as they participate in the ITA Regional in Cincinnati, Ohio.
