Racers Meet UNLV In 76 Classic Semifinals - 8:30 p.m. Today In Anaheim, Calif.

The Murray State Racers take on the UNLV Runnin' Rebels today in the semifinals of the 76 Classic in Anaheim, Calif.
Both teams are coming off Thanksgiving Day wins at the Anaheim Convention Center: MSU (3-1) defeated Stanford 55-52, while UNLV (4-0) defeated Tulsa 80-71.
The Racers led from start to finish against Stanford and showed again that defense is their calling card. MSU held the Cardinal to 41 percent from the field and 24 percent from three-point range. MSU harassed Stanford into 18 turnovers. B.J. Jenkins led MSU with 15 points.
UNLV led Tulsa 40-31 at the half and held off a Hurricane rally to get an 80-71. Derrick Jasper recorded his first career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. UNLV forced Tulsa into 20 turnovers and shot 53 percent from the field and hit eight three-point baskets.
The Racers have met UNLV two times, with the last coming in 1982 when Ron Greene was MSU's coach. The game was the final of the 1981-82 season for MSU as they met UNLV on their home court in Las Vegas in the NIT. The Racers dropped an 87-61 loss but finished the season 20-8 and won the first of back-to-back Ohio Valley Conference titles under Greene.
The first meeting between MSU and UNLV came in Las Vegas in 1976 under MSU Coach Fred Overton in the Las Vegas Classic; the Racers lost 104-77.
Today's game will air live on ESPNU with Mark Neely and Stephen Bardo calling the action.
