Murray State Head Coach Billy Kennedy will soon gain his 100th career win as MSU coach and 200th of his career. He is now 90-48 (.652) in his fifth season with the Racers and 194-174 (.527) in his 13th season which also includes stops at Centenary and Southeastern Louisiana.
The Racers enter the game with WKU with the nation's fifth-longest home court winning streak at 22. MSU hasn't dropped a game at home since BracketBusters game (Feb. 21, 2009) to Louisiana Tech. MSU's home win streak in OVC games is 17. MSU's record in the CFSB Center in non-OVC games is 58-9. What MSU has done in 13 seasons of basketball in the CFSB Center is remarkable with a winning percentage of .856, including a 44-4 mark in the last four seasons. However, it's what they haven't done that is also worth noting. In 13 seasons, MSU has never lost three straight at the CFSB Center and have only lost back-to-back games three times with the last coming in 2005.
