Murray State To Host OVC Rifle Championship

The Murray State Racers are the proud host of the Ohio Valley Conference Rifle Championship Saturday and Sunday in Murray, Ky., at the Pat Spurgin Range in Roy Stewart Stadium.
The two-day competition begins at 9 a.m. each day with the smallbore portion on Saturday and air rifle on Sunday.
MSU leads the OVC with eight all-time titles with the last coming in 2004.

This year find the rest of the league trying to dethrone Jacksonville State, which has won the last five since MSU's last win in 2004.
The Racers have performed at a high level this season with an average team score of 4601 out of a maximum 4800.
MSU's best score this season came at home last weekend with a 4638.
The Racers and JSU are joined at the OVC championship by Morehead State, Tennessee Tech and UT Martin.
