Hastings McMillan Returns to Speak at OVC Rifle Championship Banquet

Former Murray State rifle team member, Marra Hastings McMillan was the Guest of Honor at the 2010 Ohio Valley Conference Rifle Championship. She spoke to the participants about what her experiences as an OVC rifle shooter have meant to her and how the relationships that they are forming now will last through their lives.
Hastings McMillan was an All-American for the Murray State rifle team for four seasons (1997-2000), earning All-OVC Championship Team honors each of her four seasons. During the 1997 season she was named the NCAA Air Rifle Champion.
The Kingston, Wash., native was recruited to shoot for the Racers by Murray State and OVC Hall of Fame coach Elvis Green. A few of her shooting accomplishments include 2000 OVC Smallbore MVP award, a spot on the National Development Team and an NRA record in the standing position.
Hastings McMillan is married to Zack McMillian, who she met while attending Murray State. The couple has two children, a son Alex (3) and a daughter Sophie (eight months).
The 2010 OVC Rifle Championships start Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range in Stewart Stadium and will continue through Sunday, Feb. 7.
