Men's Tennis Falls to Samford

The Murray State men's tennis team lost to Samford 5-2 this past weekend.
The two points for the Racers were won in singles play.
The first victory came when Jose Berardo defeated Adam Witcher in three sets at the No. 5 position. Berardo won the first set, 6-4, lost the second set 5-7, and then came back to win the tie breaker 10-6.
Mason Johnson won the next point for the Racers by defeating John Flaniken. Mason won the match in two sets, 6-4, 6-3.
Jorge Caetano won his first set against Oliver Reynolds 6-2, but was unable to keep his momentum and lost the next two sets, 6-1, 6-3.
In doubles action Caetano and Johnson teamed up to defeat Scott Foster and Witcher, 8-6.
The Racers will be back on the courts Sat., Mar. 20 at Eastern Kentucky to resume conference play.
