Men's Tennis Picks Up Two Wins Over Spring Break

The Murray State men's tennis team won two of three matches over spring break. The Racers picked up a pair of wins against Western Kentucky, 4-3, and Bethel College, 5-2, while dropping their finial match against Southern Illinois, 4-3.
Against WKU, the Racers were able to sweep the Hilltoppers in doubles action. Ben Clos and Jorge Caetano paired up for an 8-4 victory at No. 1, while Renaldo Domoney and Luka Milicevic teamed up at No. 3 with an 8-2 victory.
Milicevic moved the Racers to 2-0 by defeating Priyank Gangadharan at No. 3, 6-0, 6-2.
Caetano also brought in a victory by defeating Currie Martin, 6-4, 6-2.
MSU kept the momentum going by defeating Bethel College.
The Racers were able to capture the doubles point again with Clos and Caetano winning 8-6 at No. 1, Domoney and Milicevic won 8-6 at No. 2, and Jose Berardo and Mason Johnson finished the sweep of doubles with a 9-7 victory at No. 3.
Clos defeated Andres Mejia in three sets, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 at No.1.
Domoney picked up another win for the Racers against Luke Newbold, 6-4, 6-1.
In their final contest against Southern Illinois the Racers played well, but were unable to pull out another victory.
In doubles action Domoney and Milicevic paired up to gain the only victory, 8-4, at No. 2.
In singles action Clos defeated Brandon Florez 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 at No. 1.
Milicevic tallied the second point for the Racers by defeating Falk De Beenhouwer, 7-5, 6-3.
The Racers will continue conference play back at home Mar. 30th against Tennessee State. The match is set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
