“I am proud that my student-athletes are taking both halves of their experience here at Murray State seriously,” said head coach Connie Keasling. “I truly believe that success in the classroom goes hand-in-hand with the success you have on the court.”
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester or quarter by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete. The APR includes eligibility and retention in the calculation and provides a clear picture of the academic culture in each sport. The APR awards are based on a two-point system - one point for academic eligibility and one point for academic retention. A team's APR is the total points earned by the team at a given time divided by the total points possible, multiplied by 1,000. Multi-year APR includes four years of data (this year's numbers included the academic years of 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09).
