STORY LINES
The Racers step back out of conference play as they travel to Central Arkansas in their final non-conference road game of the season. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Estes Stadium.
Racer quarterback Jeff Ehrhardt set a single-game record when he completed 38 passes in the game against Southeast Missouri. The 38 completions breaks the old record of 36 set by Ehrhardt against Tennessee State in 2007. The 54 passing attempts ties his career high and ranks as the third highest total in school history.
The Racers and Bears are meeting for just the third time, and the first since 1940. UCA is 1-0-1 in the series. The teams met in Conway in 1939 with the Bears coming away with a 21-0 victory. The teams met in Murray the following season and played to a 0-0 tie.
Murray State offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner served as the quarterbacks coach at Central Arkansas in 2009.
The Racers are looking to avoide their first 0-3 start since they opened the 1988 season with four-straight losses.

The Series
Murray State and Central Arkansas are meeting for just the third time, and the first time since 1940. The Bears hold a 1-0-1 advantage in the series. The teams first met in 1939 in Conway, Ark. with UCA coming a way with a 21-0 victory. One year later, the teams played to a 0-0 tie in Murray.
Hatcher vs Conque
The two head coaches are not strangers as they have locked horns six previous times. All six matchups came when Hatcher was at Valdosta State and Conque's Bears were playing at the Division II level. Hatcher has had the upper hand in the series as he has come away victorious in all six prior matchups.
Faulkner Returns to Conway
Murray State offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner will be in familiar territory Saturday evening as he returns to the place he called home just a season ago. Faulkner spent the 2009 season as the quarterbacks coach for the Bears, and served as the team's signal caller late in the season.
Racers vs. the Southland
The Racers are facing just their second opponent all time from the Southland Conference, and are in search of their first victory. MSU faced Northwestern State in 1939 and 1940, dropping a 19-0 decision in 1939, and falling 20-6 in Natchitoches, La. in 1940.
Largest Crowd Since 2002
Murray State drew 7,014 fans for its home opener against Southeast Missouri. It was the first time the Racers have drawn over 7,00 fans in 40 games, dating back to Homecoming 2002 when 8,307 fans came out to see the game against Tennessee Tech.
