Cross Country Travels To Memphis For Twilight Classic

The Murray State men's and women's cross country teams head south to Memphis for the lone evening event on the Racers' 2010 schedule, the Memphis Twilight hosted by Christian Brothers University. The women will begin at 8:20 p.m. with the men taking to the course at 9:00 p.m.
MSU will be competing against 32 other schools, including OVC-members Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State and UT Martin.
Last week, the women's squad finished ninth at the Commodore Classic. Katelyn Jones paced the Racers with a time of in 19:40.50 to finish in 36th place. Senior Asenath NaAman and junior Kayla Crusham followed close behind in 44th and 45th with times of 19:49.94 and 19:51.97, respectively.
Freshman Ryan Johnson was the high finisher for the men's squad in the 8K, finishing in 101st with a time of 29:37.47.
MSU returns to action Friday, Oct. 1 at the Tennessee Tech Invite.
