The Murray State Racers return home to the CFSB Center for games against Eastern Illinois and Southeast Missouri. The Thursday game against the Panthers has a 7:30 p.m. tip.
The Racers fare coming off a successful two-game road trip last week when they earned a 71-62 win at Jacksonville State and then scored a season-high point total in a 92-85 win over Tennessee Tech. The Racers enter the EIU game with a 5-2 mark in the Ohio Valley Conference, which is good for a tie for second place with Tennessee State, one game behind leader Austin Peay at 6-1.
Murray State Head Coach Billy Kennedy notched his 200th career win in the Racers' win at Tennessee Tech. Kennedy is in his 13th season as a head coach and is now 200-175 (.533) which includes stops at Centenary and Southeastern Louisiana. He has 96 wins in five seasons at MSU and will soon become the seventh MSU coach to reach the 100 win plateau.
Carlisle Cutchin, MSU's first coach from 1925-41 is MSU's all-time leader with 267 wins, while Cal Luther is second with 241 victories from 1959-74. Counting his last two seasons at Southeastern Louisiana, Kennedy's teams in the last five complete seasons have averaged more than 21 wins.

The Racers enjoy one of the best home court advantages in all of college basketball. MSU, in its 13th season in the CFSB Center, has a record of 152-26 (.853) in all games and 92-17 (.844) in OVC contests. In the Kennedy era, MSU is 55-10 and 21-1 in his last two seasons. MSU recently had the fourth longest home winning (25) streak stopped with a loss to Austin Peay (Jan. 8). MSU has only had four occasions in 13 seasons with back-to-back losses and have never dropped three in a row at home.
In a testament to MSU's balanced scoring, the Racers are in a group of only two schools who haven't had a 20-point scorer yet this season. MSU shares this distinction with Jacksonville (11-5) of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
MSU is also the only team in the OVC that has three players with more than 40 assists this season. B.J. Jenkins (63), Isacc Miles (58) and Isaiah Canaan (41).
