MSU was led by red-shirt freshman Jessica Winfrey with her third double-double of the season. The Marion, Ark., native tallied 15 points and 13 rebounds, making it the fourth-straight game with 10+ boards. She is the first players since Ashley N. Hayes (2008-09) and just the fourth Racer since the 1996-97 campaign to accomplish the feat.
The Racers also had four players in double-digits in the scoring column for the second consecutive game. Sophomore Mariah Robinson led the team with 16 points, while freshmen Mary Jehlik and Allison Karst each added 10.
The Racers opened the first half with strong offense and defense, going on a 7-0 run before allowing the Jaguars to garner their first points of the game. IUPUI then followed with a 4-0 run over the next minute. The Jaguars kept fighting and cut their deficit to two points, with another 4-0 run, but MSU countered with three-straight three's to rebuild the advantage to eight points (20-12), with nine minutes left in the stanza. Over the next 6:30 the Racers held IUPUI without a field goal and extended the lead with a 9-3 run.
