Racers Pick Up First OVC Road Win In 33-Point Victory At Eastern Illinois

#20/21 Murray State scored its first road conference win of the season Thursday night, defeating Eastern Illinois 73-40 at Lantz Arena in Charleston, Ill.
Stacy Wilson came off the bench for the Racers to lead the team with 16 points, including a team-best four 3-pointers.
Leading 9-8 with 15:28 remaining in the first half, the Racers went on a 14-0 run over the next six and a half minutes. MSU made its first four 3-point attempts of the game and proceeded to keep building its lead in the remainder of the period to take a 41-21 advantage.
Jewuan Long added 14 points for Murray State (14-0, 2-0 OVC) on a perfect 6-6 shooting night from the field.
Ed Daniel and Brandon Garrett each recorded three blocks as MSU blocked 10 total Eastern Illinois attempts.
Jeremy Granger led the Panthers (6-6, 0-1) with 12 points.
The Racers return to action at home against Eastern Kentucky Jan. 4. Tip off at the CFSB Center is set for 7 p.m.
