Smallbore Results
"Today was the day we have been looking for in smallbore and it was a great team effort,” MSU Head Coach Alan Lollar said. “We had personal bests from two of our shooters and this was another step on the journey."
Indeed, MSU got personal smallbore records from Ashley Rose (581) and Kyle Donnan (580), while Emily Quiner turned a 580 with Kaitlin Cleven recording a 579 and Nehemiah Gillman posting a 579.
"Emily, Katie and Nehemiah were once again solid,” Lollar added. "Tomorrow is a chance to shoot air rifle the way we can. If we can focus on controlling what we can control, we will be fine."
The Racers are trying to win a second straight OVC title after taking it last season in 2010. MSU has won nine total OVC Championships.
Sunday's schedule features two air rifle relays, with the combined scores from smallbore and air rifle deciding the OVC champion.
The first shots will be taken at 8:30 a.m.
