
Women’s Tennis Falls to Arkansas State

“We competed hard today,” said head coach Connie Keasling. “Our singles games are really coming around. This is the start of a four-match road trip and if we continue to play like we did today good things will happen.”
The Racers (1-5) won the No. 2 doubles, with seniors Alexis Webb and Lindsey Wiseman defeating Janie Nowland and Biljana Miloshevska 8-3.
Webb earned a win in the first set of her No. 3 singles match, 4-6, but ending up falling to Nowland in the next two sets 6-0, 6-2. Junior Cassidy Cunitz fell in her first and third sets, but earned a 7-6 decision at No. 1 singles in the second set.
MSU will play two matches, Thursday, March 3 against Harding (10 a.m.) and Central Arkansas (2:30 p.m.).
