
Women’s Tennis Hit the Road for Four Matches in Three Days

The Murray State women's tennis team will started an almost month long road trip with four matches in three days this week. The Racers (1-4) will first travel to Jonesboro, Ark., to face Arkansas State, March 2 at 2:30 p.m. MSU then stops in Searcy and Conway, Ark., March 3 for matches with Harding (10 a.m.) and Central Arkansas (3 p.m.). The final stop on the trip will be in Little Rock, Ark., March 4 to battle with Arkansas-Little Rock at 10 a.m.
Arkansas State is 3-4 heading into Wednesday's match, which is set to be played at the ASU Tennis Courts, with a win in their last match Feb. 27. The Racers are 9-9 in the all-time series with Redwolves.
Harding is currently 6-2 on the season, but will play two matches before MSU comes to town Thursday. This is the first meeting between the two teams.
Central Arkansas has not played since Feb. 13 and has a 0-6 record this season. The match with the Sugar Bears will be the first meeting, as UCA recently made the switch from NCAA Division II.
The final stop is at UALR against the Trojans, March 4. UALR is 7-6 heading into Friday's match. The Racers have played UALR on six previous occasions, winning two.
