The Bison (0-9) got on the board in the first inning as Tim Colwell drew a one-out walk and scored when Zach Went singled into the gap in left center.
The Breds (4-6) got the offense going in the fourth as Brandon Eggenschwiler was hit by a pitch and Paul Ritzheimer singled to center. After a walk to Ty Stetson, Colton Moore drove in two runs with a double just inside the left-field line. Elliot Frey followed with a run-scoring single to center field and the fourth run scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of Zach Noonan.
NDSU pushed across two runs in the sixth as Nick Colwell singled to center and Tim Colwell beat out a bunt to third. The next batter hit into a fielder's choice, but the throw to first was wide, allowing the runner to score. Nick Anderson plated the second runner of the inning with a double to right field.
