Lollar Announces the Addition of Berhorst to Racer Rifle Squad

Murray State rifle coach Alan Lollar has announced the addition of Jack Berhorst to the Racer rifle team for the 2013-14 season.
Berhorst was the Missouri 3P State Champion at Lathrop High School and also placed second J2 at the USA Nationals in 3P. Berhorst also competed in football for the Mules and was a co-captain this past year.
"Jack is an impressive young man,” said Lollar. “We look for shooters that understand competition. Jack's experience with football and helping to make the program a winner is one of the things we look for. The team concept is important.”
In addition to his athletic accolades, Berhorst is excellent in the classroom and in the community. Berhorst was the recipient of the 2012 National Leadership Award from the American Youth Foundation, was the 2011 National Honor Society representative for student council and was a member of the National Honor Society from 2011-13.
Berhorst also competed for four years in the Academic Bowl at Lathrop and was a member of the school's honor roll throughout high school
"I think Jack has a chance to come in and compete for a spot very soon. I think he will fit in nicely with what we are trying to do,” said Lollar.
